It was around 7.59 am on November 15, 1993, a flight crash-landed in agricultural fields near Balayyapalle Cheruvu in Kalvakunta village some six kilometers from Venkatagiri of Chittoor district. A popular comedian of the Telugu film industry and a hero from the same family came out along with their families. God had showered all his mercy on them. None were at least injured in the incident. The experienced pilot of the flight Captain Bhalla managed to crash-land the flight without any casualties or injuries to the persons inside the flight, of course, there was a little damage to the flight. They are none other than Allu Ramalingaiah and his wife Kanakaratnam, their son-in-law Mega Star Chiranjeevi , his wife Surekha Vani When the flight crash-landed Chiranjeevi's youngest daughter was in his lap.
